Three nodes carrying the work. One loses power, and what happens next.

Three nodes, carrying the work between them. One loses power. The work carries on. Two still hold quorum, and quorum needs two.The node comes back and rejoins. Nobody rings you about it.The count is internal/cluster.MinimumHANodes, and this picture is drawn from it.

Two machines cannot establish quorum. When they lose sight of each other each has exactly as much claim as the other, and nothing can decide between them. Three is the smallest number that can.

Three machines, so losing one is a Tuesday rather than an incident. The work carries on, the node rejoins, and nobody rings you about it.
